Within FGHA's  program "Journalist for peace"

Future Generation Hands Association established journalist for peace project with 16 participate press from both gender Department of Journalism at Annajah University supported by Canadian representative office- Ram Allah-west bank.

This meeting consists of the journalist participating in Aqaba's meet form 20-24 November 2008.

This is the first group of five groups will participate with Adam's Association:

participants from Future Generation Hands Association and 8 participants from Adam's Society .this meet supported by Canadian console.

., were his lecture consisted on 6 coordinates to create the journalist meeting in Aqaba:

1-How to deal with the media.                                                                   2-
The difference between the Palestinian and foreign levels of media.

3-Definition of press and reporter
4-press the line of fire
5-the ethics of the profession of journalism
6-reporter photo for the foreign media

The activities started at 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.

After this interview 8 participants were chosen between first to fourth year of their academic study in department of journalist in Annajah University to go to the first Aqaba's meeting were the other meetings will be known later.

The participant approved the important of these kinds of meetings and they thanked the Canadian consul for this opportunity to participate in this meeting and understand the way that the other side thinking .and this kinds of meetings strengthen to know briefly the other side and benefit from their experiences.

 


 

Within its program "alleviating the psychological pressure on children",

Future Generation Hands Association bought clothes and covered the needs for 57 child whom are beyond poverty limit, in the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.

To bring joy to the hearts of children and draw the smile on their faces.

In the belief of : alleviating the psychological pressure program coming through the activities, workshops and financial support.

Because the children are the hope of life and our future makers.

And our role is to provide assistance and help to them to get their basic rights.
 

 



On 30th August 2008, and within its program "alleviating the Psychological Stress on Children, Palestinian Relief Association and in cooperation with Future Generation Hands Association distributed 100 glasses for children in Nablus, this come as away to alleviate the financial burden on the parents and children at the beginning of the new academic year. As it is known, Palestinian Relief Association mostly focuses on making pediatrics surgical operations for children who suffering from congenital malformations in heart, bones and urinary tract also making cosmetic surgeries.


 


Within its program "alleviating the psychological pressure on children", Future Generation Hands Association distributed 80 schoolbags under its holy slogan "it is our right to live and learn like the rest of the world's children". In that activity 50 bags donated by our friend in Germany Institut für Palästinakunde – IPK and 30 bags from Palestine Children Relief Fund were distributed on children in Nablus.

That activity is so important as it comes to achieve the goals of our association ,that is , to achieve the physical and the psychological stability for Palestinian children as apart of its framework "alleviating the psychological pressure on children" which includes seven stages ,thanks God we have completed four phases.


 









 

              

 

Future Generation Hands Association summer camp

Future Generation Hands Association and within its program( alleviating the psychological pressure on children) initiated a summer camp for children which includes 100 child, they came to scream (it is our right to live our childhood as all children in the world).

11 of the association's volunteers opened the camp ,and the happiness flooded the faces of children. The groups have been established and the children are distributed on them.

The first day for children was a precious and unspeakable moment, it provides everything for a brighter tomorrow for these children.

 

 

 

 



Joy and Smile Camp

After ten days on our fourth's Joy and Smile Camp and through the activities which have a great role in removing the dust out of children's thoughts and creativity, it was important to organize a party for those poor children to return the smile to their faces. The participants visited Hamdi Manko library. Actually, they were interested in reading stories and watching films about non-violent culture also the children offered amazing show in which they introduced their hand- made works (gypsum,sponges,polish paper and glasses) which greatly showed their creativity. The smiles of children during the party reflects their happiness, we believe that those children will be the builders of the future one day so we do our best to achieve that goal. This party was necessary to show the right of children in life .Finally ,juice and cakes were prepared for children then the presents were distributed on them.


 

 

Alleviating the psychological pressure on children program

   Future Generation Hands Association starts its program (Alleviating the psychological pressure on children), the program will last for three months. The importance of the project comes from that it is targeting a major and important category, which is the children who suffer from difficult conditions that affect their psychological development. The first session began on March 22, 2008; the group includes 20 children their age range between (7- 10). The activities and session will be implemented weekly (on Saturday, 22/3/2008, 29/3/2008, 5/4/2008, 12/4/2008, 19/4/2008, and 26/4/2008). 

In the future, there will be another group targets children, their age range between (10-13). 

The First session   03\22\2008

The aimed for acquaintance, and breaking the barriers; the aims were achieved through various activities and events, for example, the acquaintance was fulfilled through " ball " game, as well as the barriers between children were broken through " the cat and mouse "game, "the missing chair" game, " acting the required shape" game and the phone game.

The second session   03\29\2008

      The aim of this session was to explore the needs of children so as to know the most important things they need in their life .The session started with warming –up, in which the children were asked to talk about beautiful things happened last week, the purpose was to start the session with something positive.

       After that, the children played both "the cat and mouse" and "the king of movements" games, then the children were asked to draw the most needed things in their life that they do not own or things they wish not to lose.

       The need of children for the means of entertainment (for example, swimming pools, computers, TV, recreational games and so on…) was clear. Each child spoke about his drawing and the reason behind drawing it up afterward. At the end, the children were praised for their drawings and thanked for their talking about them.

The third session   04\05\2008

       Since the previous session revealed the urgent need of children for entertainment means, it was generally agreed to follow up the coming sessions through turning them into alleviating and entertaining sessions, in a way it fits their wishes. As this session was a complementary one, it started with (camel walking, earth and sky, mouse and cat and king's movements) games, warming up activities. Then, the children were divided into groups; each group consists of three children, they implemented an amiable  activity in which they got glass bottles full of colored salt and in different shapes; each child painted little of salt then the three combined , filled the glass bottles  and form beautiful shapes.

       As usual, the session ended by asking them about the day's activities and their feelings and reactions towards them. At the end of the session, the participants were thanked for their achievements and contribution.

The fourth session    04\12\2008

       Before the end of the last session ,the participants were asked to prepare for a topic and talk about it in front of the other children, the subject of the topic was open and according to their own choice. Most of children prepared well and talked a lot about their own topics; while the ones who did not prepare, they talked orally.

       Some children talked about simple practical subjects and the most talked about themselves, their schools, friends, and last week activities. Then children were divided into two groups and they were asked to perform a simple play with our help: the first group acted a scene of two families, while the other acted a scene from a local series "The Suburb Gate". The children were happy, at the same time; they expressed their feelings towards what they offered. At the end, the participants were praised and thanked for their creativity.

The fifth session     04\19\2008

       The session started with some preferable games for children, at the beginning the children were asked to choose what games they want to start with, they chose "cat and mouse"," king's movements" ," wind blowing" and so on.

       After that, the participants were divided into two groups to make a race between them(singing race);the first team starts singing and the other team has to sing different song that start with the last letter that song end with. One of them won, the loosing team was asked to answer the two questions that the winner team gave in order to compensate their loss, if they did not, they would loose . In the end, one of them won.

       Then, the drawing on the faces of children was implemented. At the end, they were thanked for their participation; they were also reminded that the next meeting would be the last.

The sixth session   04\26\2008

         As this session was the last for this group, it was an evaluation of the previous sessions, this done through well-prepared activities (entertainment games) to reveal the effects of these sessions and meetings on the children.

       The participants were already asked directly to express their own opinions about the sessions, which one was the best and why. The children were thanked for their positive interaction and commitment. The association told the children that there is a possibility to bring them again in other project. The session ended by giving the participants some gifts as a souvenir

 

     On 3/5/2008, Future Generation Hands Association started working with the third group of children within its program   (Alleviating the Psychological Stress on Children) .The participants are 20 children (male and female) their age range between 10-13 years old.

The first session

     The first meeting started on 3/5/2008.At first, the children were welcomed and thanked for their attendance then they introduced them as usual. In order to make children more interactive and break down the barriers between them several games were implemented such as: (the king movement),( the wind blowing), separated Tel) and (Koktail ).

     At the end, the children were asked to express their opinion of the meeting and whether the wished to do things they didn't do in the meeting; actually they replied that it was a nice day and they enjoyed it too much.  Largly of them wanted to play ball (soccer) and that was taken in consideration. Finally the children were thanked for their presence and interaction during the meeting.

The Second Session

     The second meeting was hold on the 10th of May. It was started with playing some games of acquaintance to help children remember the names of each other. The supervisor asked the children to talk about the best thing they experienced last week ,they interacted with that subject then they played many games (The wind blowing) and (koktail).

     Each child was asked to talk about the more things and persons  he loved or things he wishes to get and also  talked about their lovely hobbies, then the children painted the things they spoke about previously  and things they like to talk about. Each expressed his painting loudly in front of the group. At last, there were a simple test in a form of a game to refresh their memories and one of the girls won. As usual the participants were thanked for their presence and achievements.

 The third Session

     The previous meeting was about the more things the children are unable to dispense, that included television and computer equipment and for this reason, the children were asked at the end of the meeting to bring any scientific or entertainment material to present it through the Projector, At the beginning of this Meeting 17/5/2008 several activities have been implemented which included games such as (King movements), (coktail), (the walker camel), (wind blowing) and game (Where chalk  disappeared?).
  
     After that, several articles prepared by children were introduced through the Projector and were discussed by the children themselves.
the participants have been divided into two sets of, each trying to give everyone of its members a task to accomplish take in consideration that the form  an institution of society, and really  the first group worked to prepare for the establishment of a communication company and the second group established a private clinic.
 
     The children during the activity had done a good division of tasks  they have done.
 
     The meeting ended with a quick entertaining activity then the children were thanked for their participation and prior preparation of materials.


 The Fourth Session

     At this meeting, which  was hold on 24/5/2008, the children were prepared to do an effective  exercise ended with beloved outcomes  and this included a colored salt in glass  cans, the children have been divided into four groups each group of them worked on coloring the salt then each group has mobilized its own bottle of stained salt ,when they finished the children played games such as: (Bam) and (wind blowing) and that was the end of the meeting.

 The Fifth Session

     It started on 31/5/2008.The participants were welcomed for attendance despite the absence of some because of the final exams , at this meeting the children were divided into two groups  each one of them is preparing for  a small scene in a play,  each group performed its own scene separately, and then the two groups were given a period of time to prepare for  questions posed to the other group ,after asking the questions one of the groups won  while the losing team was encouraged and given the opportunity to compensate its loss through making a singing race so one of the teams  won .At the end of the meeting the participants were thanked ,the meeting ended with was an entertaining activity.

 The sixth session   07\06\2008

0n 14/6/2008 the fourth group in the" alleviating the psychological pressure on children" program was opened, it includes children in age between (7-10) years .The program in itself contains six sessions which were implemented on the following dates ( 14/6/2008, 21/6/2008, 28/6/2008, 5/7/2008, and 12/7/2008) ,these sessions include the same activities we had implemented before on other groups ;these sessions will certainly have a great impact on children and their life in the future and after the evaluation we see the constant improvement in one group after another. This program has been fund by our friend Mrs, Caroline Wingrad from California in America.
